YOUR FEEDBACK, WITH CARE
Research privacy
notice.
Updated October 9, 2026. This notice covers the Terminal product research website. Research organizer: Terminal research team.
What we collect
If you submit the survey, we collect your name, email, answers to ten questions, adult and US residence confirmations, privacy acknowledgment, and your optional product-update choice. We also record a completion code, a research score, submission time, approximate country, IP address, broad device type, referral campaign tags, and completion duration.
A first-party session cookie keeps the survey session secure. Browser session storage keeps your selected answers and completion receipt available in the same browser tab. We do not request microphone, camera, or GPS access. This website does not run live AI conversations.
Why we use it
We use feedback to understand whether this product is useful, identify concerns and use cases, prioritize development, and identify people interested in prototype research. IP and approximate country help distinguish sources, repeated submissions, and research quality. IP location can be inaccurate; it is not precise location or proof of residence. Research contact related to your expressed prototype interest is separate from optional product marketing.
Optional product updates
Product-update emails require the separate, unchecked opt-in on the contact step. Participating in research or receiving a completion code does not require marketing opt-in. You can withdraw that choice through the form below. This research website does not automatically send marketing emails.
Who has access
Authorized research administrators can view and export submitted feedback. Data is stored on the research operator’s server, with access controls. We do not sell research answers. If you later follow a SweepWidget activity link, that service processes its own giveaway participation data under its own notice. This site does not automatically enter or verify you in a giveaway.
Approximate country is looked up using a local database, without sending each IP to a geolocation API. IP Geolocation by DB-IP.
How long it is kept
Raw IP information and detailed visit events are removed after 90 days. Research answers and contact details are removed after 180 days. Administrator access records and completed privacy requests are kept for up to 180 days. Daily backups rotate after seven days; information removed from active storage may remain in those backups until rotation.
Access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal
You can submit a request below. Include your research receipt if available, but do not send passwords or sensitive documents. We may need to verify ownership before disclosing or changing data. Submitting a request does not automatically delete a record.
